The second instalment Kim Ki-young’s 'Housemaid' trilogy – which began with 1960’s subversive  'The Housemaid' and continued with 'Woman of Fire ‘82' (1982) – opens with the murder of a  couple and then retraces the crime, overturning initial assumptions that it was merely a violent  robbery starring Youn Yuh-jung ('Minari'). Dongsik (Won Namkung) is a composer living a quiet  life on a chicken farm with his wife Jungsook (Jeon Gye-hyeon). Myungia, a young woman whose  painful past, comes to work for them. But soon Dongsik’s desire for his young employee take hold  and his actions lead to an unforeseen reprisal. A dark moral tale that refuses to pull its punches, it  is a bold and uncompromising work.
